The children's author David Walliams dropped by longtime publisher.
Prolific writer for children and TV personality David Walliams has been dropped by his longtime publishing house, according to an announcement.
A representative for the firm said: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the conclusion was reached following an investigation into claims about questionable actions involving female individuals.
The firm did not confirm the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss internal matters."
A Prolific Publishing History
Walliams is one of the UK's most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies globally in dozens of tongues.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.
Some of his books, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into small-screen adaptations.
He has published more than 40 books combined, encompassing a holiday title called *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins this past October.
Television and Literature
His career breakthrough occurred on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE back in 2017 for his services to charity and the arts.
This development follows the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO in October.
